A Letter for a Very Special Lady:

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us. We are Tom, Kelly, and Margaret-Jane. We are very much in love with each other, and the Lord Jesus. We love kids, and the Lord has chosen to build our family in another way than most families do - through adoption. We have been married seven years in November of this year, and we are excited about the future! Our little four year old daughter, Margaret-Jane, came into our lives because of another very special lady, just like you, who believed that loving her child meant finding a Christian family who would love her and raise her as their own. We love her, and we are so grateful to God that she actually picked us to be the parents of her child! Being a Dad and Mom has been the most rewarding and joyful experience of our lives. And that is just the reason why we are asking you to prayerfully consider our family as the future family for your child. We admire the courage and love it has taken for you to read through these letters.

Our family has lots of fun together! We take a lot of trips places in our State, and do a lot of camping, picnicing, and have a family adventures galore! Some times we will bring along one or two of our 15 nephews and nieces who live near by to enjoy the adventure with us. That makes for bunches of fun for the cousins! Our families make no distinction between Margaret-Jane and the rest of us - she isn't singled out and made to feel "different" because of adoption. She's just one of the crew! Our families have lots of love, hugs and kisses that they are saving just for a new baby! And we can assure you that your child will feel the very same as Margaret-Jane -- loved by all of the extended family. They are very supportive of us, and we love family life.

A little about ourselves: Tom works for our Governor as an advisor, and we have been able to have some special experiences because of it. Each summer, the Governor has a party for families at his residence (he and his wife have three girls who are seven year old triplets). This summer, there was a big slide and trampoline, and little creatures brought in from the zoo for kids to see! Margaret-Jane and the kids there had a blast! Tom's job involves a whole lot more than parties, but this is one of the perks Margaret-Jane and I enjoy! I am a teacher-turned-stay-at-home-mommy. Margaret-Jane and I are working on reading, writing, math, art, piano, ballet, tap, Bible stories, and outreach ideas like visiting nursing homes or helping the Red Cross this year. We want her to learn how to help other people. Especially now, when the Country so needs our help. Of course, she has plenty of time for Raggedy Ann and Andy, her Teddy Bear, her dog Gracie, and the Cat and kitten, Samantha and Marshmallow.

We live in a rural town in a white, roomy, two story home which sets upon two city lots, so there's lots of room to run and play. We have good neighbors that keep an eye open for the neighborhood kids, and our next door neighbors often visit from the porch. We take bike rides in town, and go for walks, and spend some time in the little park in town. There's a big privacy fence in our backyard with a swing-set and slide and lots of safety. We go to a Church in a small town nearby and have evenings of fellowship with families who attend. It's really a blessing. Our Church is very loving, and reaches out to each other whenever one of our group is sick, has a baby, or a special need. And they are full of prayer for each other. That's really important to us.

Tom and I believe that God is the one who chooses children for families, so we are peaceful about any decision you make regarding us. We know that if you have read this letter to the last line, it is because God directed you to do so. And if your heart is moved to contact us, we are delighted! We would be more than happy to meet you, and answer any questions you have for us. If you would like to meet us, we want you to feel the same sense of peace that we have. It is a very special thing for a woman to choose to give her child a new family and life through adoption, and we will be praying as you make your decision. We admire your courage and love, and look forward to meeting you someday!
