Adoption

Dear Birth Mom,

First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We can only imagine what you're going through. We so much appreciate the brave decision you are about to make. Our prayers are with you. Please read our letter as we would like to tell you about us, our life together and our family.

We know the wonderful blessing children through adoption can bring to a family because one of our nieces is adopted. Her addition to our family has been a blessing to all of us.

Tim and I were married in 2002 and hoped to begin a family right away. Although our hopes of having our own biological family were challenged when our doctor told us we would be unable to have children, God has continued to encourage us by introducing us to you…

Please know that we will be caring, loving parents. We are already the "favorite" aunt and uncle of all of our 23 nieces and nephews, as well as the children of our friends. We camp, play sports, make cookies and just have FUN!

About Carol (from Tim)

Carol is a very happy, energetic woman. She is very much a kid at heart and all of our nieces and nephews will tell you that. Our nieces and nephews even stood up in our wedding instead of her friends (which was a great idea by the way). She is very much loved by all those who know her. She is always there helping out a friend, niece or nephew or one of our parents. Every year she holds gingerbread house decorating contests with the kids in the family and we all have a blast. I am blessed to have her as my wife.

About Tim (from Carol)

I am so very thankful for Tim. He is a very patient and loving husband. He is wonderful with children. His basketball team loves him. His students always sing his praises. He is a wonderful son, uncle and brother. I couldn't have picked someone better for myself had I chosen him from a catalog.

We are our families' biggest cheerleaders. Our nephews play basketball and baseball. We have front row seats at both and attend most of their games. Two of our nieces (17 & 14) are into drama and music and can act better than most child stars. We never miss a performance. They are awesome! I'm even invited and attend my nieces' slumber parties. (Although my sister and I always fall asleep, it is an honor just the same…) We even let our teenage nieces and nephews drive our cars while we sit in silence (praying) during their driver's permit days. Their parents always appreciate the help with that one… We have a great-niece now and my nieces and nephew (her aunts and uncle) even say that their goal is to be as good of aunt and uncle as we are.

Tim and I have a large heart for children of all ages and not just those in our family, but all those we come in contact with. We work as a team in Children's Church and Sunday school. Tim has also coached a children's basketball league for several years and now referees and even led a basketball camp this past summer. The kids we meet continue to come to us to talk even now that some of them are teenagers and adults. The role an adult plays in child's life can affect them forever. It is our goal that the influence be a positive and loving one.

Tim and I are both very active and love sports. Tim plays on a tennis league that competes all year. …and of course he enjoys golf! I run every morning with several women and even ran the Boston Marathon this year. We enjoy hiking and working out together. It is our goal to include our children in all of these activities.

Tim teaches Math at a local Community College and has been there for over twelve years. I teach computer software classes on a part-time basis for the same college. We both enjoy the interaction with students and the reward of watching their success.

We want you to know we will love and care for your baby with all of our hearts. It is our desire to be the best parents God has designed us to be. We have a wonderful home and plenty of family to give your baby the warmth and love you desire. Thank you so much for reading our letter and God Bless You in your decision.
