Dear Birthmother,

The moment we heard about Link, we knew this was the answer to our prayers! As a Christian couple, we feel that God is calling us once again to expand our family through adoption. We are convinced that Link is a compassionate, caring alternative that enables birthparents can find the right adoptive family for them.

We know your decision to seek an adoptive family took a great deal of thought and prayer. Your courage and sacrifice can ensure that your child has the best possible future. Choosing the family that will lead your child along the right path is most likely the hardest decision you'll ever make, but it is one that will give you peace of mind knowing he/she is being raised in a loving, Christian home. We can offer that to you and assure you that the child you give birth to will have an amazing life.

We are Bettie and Danny. We were blessed in 1994 and 1996 with our son and daughter whom we adopted as newborns. We cherish our children and love spending time together. All four of us are looking forward to the arrival of a new family member.

We live for our children and will do everything possible to enrich their lives. Almost every weekend includes horseback riding, soccer games, birthday parties or adventures to nearby parks, museums, festivals, hiking or bike riding. And, it a joy to watch our kids laugh and play with neighborhood friends who usually end up playing in our big yard. Sunday is our day to worship at church and attend Sunday school. After church we usually join friends for lunch.

Our 9 year old daughter Madison and seven year old son Jordan have a passion for learning. They attend a school near our home with awesome teachers and new facilities. Bettie spends many hours helping out at the school. When the children were smaller, we enrolled both of them in pre-paid college tuition programs. We will continue that tradition with our next child. We both graduated from college and Danny has a master's degree, so we want our children to have every opportunity to graduate from a University or College so that they may follow their dreams to be whatever they want to be when they grow up.

We have an incredible extended family of lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. We are fortunate to live within easy driving distance of dozens of family members and we get together often. We have a yearly family reunion at the beach where we swim and play together, cook and eat together and laugh, reminisce and talk 'til the wee hours of the morning, long after we've put the kids to bed.. There are always plenty of hugs to go around and kids to play with. Our large family unconditionally loves us and supports our efforts to adopt. Our kids thrive in the warm embrace of this great family.

Some of our favorite memories are made on annual camping trips with six or seven other families. The kids have a great time playing with their buddies and exploring the countryside and together we all enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, or just hanging out.

We have been married for eighteen years. It only took one date for us to fall for each other and we dated for a little over a year before we were engaged. Our love for each other has grown over the years. But best of all, we are great friends.

A few words about us…

…Bettie worked for the Walt Disney Company for over a dozen years. She now has her dream job as a stay-at-home mom. That allows her to spend precious time with our children. She provides great leadership in running our home. She is a graduate of Florida State University. Bettie enjoys working out at the Y and spending time with her small group Bible studies while the children are in school.

…Danny works as an executive in city government. He earned his undergraduate degree from N.C. State University and his Master of Urban Planning degree from Texas A&M University. Danny likes golf, bike riding, long walks, music, reading, and travel.

In summary, what we can give to the child you are carrying are parents who will do everything in their power to make his/her life a remarkable one; a brother and sister who will spoil and protect him/her; a fun childhood and youth filled with discoveries and adventures; the guidance and educational opportunities to help him/her succeed as an adult; a Christian home where we live according to the verse from Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."

We are excited about the future of our family and can hardly wait to welcome our next family member.
